Caltopo app has been ruined!

You have a screenshot of what CalTopo looks like for you? My version has some wasted space up top, with a toolbar.. attached is a picture from Lake Cachaqua.

Of all the phone mapping tools, I like the look of onx-country the best.. though I use GuruPro the most. Images of both attached.

I had not used caltopo for a few months and now find the new style to be brain dead and HORRIBLE! It appears to be created for people who cannot read or something. It is 3 times as cluttered up with "thumbnails" (WHO NEEDS THESE??!!) and so very, very much more clunky and cluttered up and hard to use.

Anybody else tried the new format and have similar reactions?

I utterly hate it! Yet another example of taking a great design/usability and "improving" it into stupidity.
