Whose decision is this and who will be doing the removal? What measures will be taken to prevent large amounts of sediment and debris to enter the river upon the removal, and how will the sand bags and broken up concrete be removed? Also what measure will be taken to ensure the tubs are not re-built...

Any progress yet on a trailhead permit system, quota, or any other serious attempt to reducing the overall amount of visitation to Sykes or actual enforcement of the Big Sur Protected Waterways Management Plan? IMO it's only a matter of time until a Clean Water Act or Endangered Species Act lawsuit ...

Sounds like they were along the North Fork between Old Coast Road and Little Sur River Camp or started up the Little Sur River Trail from Old Coast Road.

Thanks for your reply. I don't think it's a matter of "hurt feelings" but of not representing his agency and state. It was a matter of a distasteful action that mocked California's regulations and will of the people. He also knows the people of California and knew this would create a stir....
