The Last Word

Blending Together
a poem, by Tessa Libby

This is the dark blue turtle pond
that flows so calmly.
This is the tall almond green tree
with a madrone colored trunk
that I climb on.
This is round grayish brown rock
that turtles lay on.
This is the sun brightened moon
that shines so beautifully on the water.
This is the high over-hanging cloud
that drops down small drops of rain.
These are the wonderful spring colored, soft hills
that I walk on.
But in the end,
The colors wind up blending,
Blending together so well!
