Roadside camping not permitted on Nacimiento-Fergusson Road

Wherever you decide to camp, please remember, NO CAMPFIRES, not even in established fire rings. Throughout the Los Padres National Forest Monterey Ranger District it's cold-camping only until fire restrictions are lifted, usually sometime around December. Check the LPNF website for current restrictions- https://www.fs.usda.gov/lpnf/

All Road-side Campers... Proceed to Plaskett ridge.. There camping is bountiful.

AMEN!!!!! I've always been shocked by the number of roadside campers along that very narrow, very windy road and in particular about how many folks have campfires burning literally inches from the huge, dry grassy acreage of Mill Creek Canyon.

Effective August 11th, 2017, Los Padres National Forest has banned roadside camping on Nacimiento-Fergusson Road. Forest Order and map are attached, please spread the word.
