I discovered on Saturday that the California-American Water Company has closed the road above Los Padres Dam. This is the only way to get to that end of the Carmel River Trail and the Big Pines Trail. There are a couple of issues on the road just past this closure. The two slip outs have not been addressed and currently tons of dirt has washed down into a side creek flowing into the reservoir. Hopefully Cal Am will be able to work on this soon.
