General Condition: Wilderness Freeway (Heavily used and/or well maintained)
Just hiked the Ridge=>Panorama=>Bluffs loop yesterday. The crews have nearly finished completely clearing the Panorama trail (a big thank you!) so that it is easy to navigate. The Bluffs and Ridge trails were wide open. We encountered one large rattlesnake about the mid-way point of the Panorama trail but it just crossed the path and went into the brush. It was a great day!

Date Hiked: May 5, 2011
General Condition: Clear (no obstacles and tread well defined)
As of May 6, 2011, the seasonal bridge is out and the river was too high to cross at the beach. No alternative routes were found to get to the other side of the river to bluffs and panorama trails. The trails to the campsite and headland trails are in good condition.

Bluffs & Panorama Trails are freshly weed-whacked wilderness freeways. Took the South Boundary Trail down to the river (because we'd developed a hankering to get a beer at the Maiden Publick House) then followed the river trails back. The South Boundary Trail was a wilderness freeway. The trails along the river were clear, except for some debris near one of the (wet) stream crossings and a little bit of easily avoided poison oak.
