Is there water in the creek at Villa Creek camp?

Does anyone have any idea where this is? What trails, etc . . . ?

The trail between Pat Spring and VDC peak is in absolutely terrible condition much of the way! I was constantly fighting thru brush, tall grass, burnt twiggy leftovers of brush and trees, in some places the trail was sliding down the hill, and I didn't make it to the top because I was literally craw...

I'm planning on going at the end of June, and I'll probably go from Boettcher's gap in 'n' out, and camp at Pat Spring.

How will the flies be then? WIll I need a tent or a net? Any guesses?

the trail conditions section is harder to go thru than the old site was. It was good to have all the trails on one page, with a subsection showing which trails had been updated recently. Now one has to go thru a couple of pages before getting to the trail report - it should show up right after click...

I've read that some parts of this route might be sketchy, so I want to see if anyone has any recent info. according to the LPNF website, the Ventana is now open!! Not the Pine ridge Trail (Sykes hot springs) and a few other areas. Check the website for the details.

We were just in that area the previous weekend! My girlfriend and I hiked up to the ridge from Aliso Park, hoping to spend a couple of nights and see condors. We turned around when it started snowing hard at the top of the ridge. Didn't see any pot farms or drug gangsters though . . .
