When they say it is open only so far they (USFS) are probably referring to motor vehicles. With the current weather and forecast bicycle to Lottie Potrero would be delightful.
If indeed the road is closed to motor vehicles it will be nice and quiet down there. Beautiful views and so much more!!

NF Road is open. Essentasilly anything south of Lost Valley is open which would include Cone Peak area.

Every time there is a fire they punch through the slide to open the road.
The slides then re-cover the road.
Mother Nature Bats Last!

It sure would be nice if the USFS would put things like this on their website.
