Section: Highway 1 to Buckeye Trail Junction - Clear
This 1/2 mile connector to the Buckeye Trail is clear for the most part with encraoching brush, berries and some poison oak in several section. Some sections of tread have slipped away making footing uneven and a bit slippery while negotiating some of the small creeks.
There are no trees across the trail at this time.

Survey date: 23-APRIL-2003
General: DIFFICULT
Specific:
At a point about 100 yds. from the start of the trail at Hwy.1, take the right hand fork that heads south. Going straight ahead, up the creek, leads to steep, impassable terrain and is obviously the wrong trail. The first 1/4 mile of the trail has some very overgrown sections, with blackberry vines, wild morning glory and lots of poison oak. The trail improves greatly as you approach the junction with the Buckeye Trail, there were no downed trees blocking any section of the trail.
