Yes, alcohol stoves weigh less than 5 grams. Visit zen stoves website for a comprehensive list of all kinds of stoves. But in a fire ban most jurisdictions want you to usestoves with a valve making a canister stove the lighter choice.

fuel for alcohol stoves lasts as long as you want it to. You bring as much is you need in a plastic bottle. denatured alcohol is the usual choice.

I do not understand what you mean by an alcohol stove or what that has to do with having a feline pet.

The MSR Whisperlite is 410g packed, but you say your stove is 99% lighter, therefore you have a stove that weighs 4.1g.

How long does the fuel last?

Alcohol stoves are free if you have a cat and are 99% lighter than any bought stove. however you cannot use them during a campfire ban.

backpacking stove - refillable

For a refillable backpacking stove the traditional choice seems to be the MSR whisper light that takes white gas, are there any other better ones now?
