It was originally part of the Monterey District, but was transferred to SLO a few years ago (can't remember how long ago) due to its location. Now it has been transferred back again.

It was closed today when I drove by. At the last BSMAAC, Mat Fuzie reported that Limekiln has been transferred back into the Monterey County branch/division of the State Parks, that they had a potential host and would be working toward making the area safe and accessible, again. There is no specific date for it to reopen, yet.

It was all closed up last month when I drove by.

Limeklin State Park

I was wondering if anybody knew if Limklin State Park is opened and if the campsites are also opened?
