Is the Big Sur community really this angry, or was one member just having a bad day?
"The deputy came up here and said he wanted dental records of everyone because we were stupid and idiotic," said Micah Curtis, 57, who has lived in Big Sur his whole life. "I watched all day as these tiny fires crept down the cliff faces in total view of everybody, but the firefighters have priorities somewhere else. That's when we went into crisis mode."
"There are no signs down here, saying, 'We love our firefighters,' " Curtis said. "This whole community is pissed off."
