the mysterious jackhammer springs trail....?

years ago before the arroyo seco road was closed (give thanks), i used to drive (or ride my bike) up to a knarly trial that started up high and dropped down to the arryo seco river. since the road been closed, i've been up and down that trail a couple of times, but it's vanishing quickly. i wonder if any old timers remember it and have any historical facts or stories about it's creation and upkeep. jackhammer springs trail seems full of memory and mystery~
