The aptly named Pine Valley Connector goes from Pine Valley to the Pine Ridge Trail. At a point about 2/3 of the way from the valley to the PRT, there is a junction with the Bear Basin Trail that drops down into Bear Basin, and then ascends *very* steeply to the top of Pine Ridge.
