Appearing to condone offtrail travel on the VWA website would not be in keeping with the mission of the VWA, which is the preservation, enhancement, and restoration of the wilderness qualities and biodiversity of the public lands within the northern Santa Lucia Mountains. Whether there's anything wrong with offtrail travel is up to the conscience of the individual - all I'm saying is that it's not a topic for discussion on this board.
