Yup, just click on the thumbnail in the info popup to link to the regular sized pic. (And from there you can drill down to the original full sized image)

Got one, but I didn't really use it for this effort.
For the mapping, I used the Topo! california map set and added waypoints with the name of each image. The waypoint export from Topo! was then fed to the code that generates the website backing data.
