Well, being as there are so many great aerial views to be had from the thirties forward .. just WHEN the grotesque, ham-handed earthwork was done right at the center of the developed part of the Salsipuedes/Avila Ranch, evidently to make a duck pond, it should be easy to find out WHEN and under WHO'S ownership the ILLEGAL GRADING and STREAMBED ALTERATIONS were made. It looks like a military tank training ground out there. I'm sure the spirits of the indians whoes bones rest there would be gratified to have it restored - what a great and meritorious project that would be for this VERY HISTORIC site!
