Oh, I forgot to mention.. The Piney creek area appeared to be used for Dozer practice during the rat creek fire. The fire never came near this area but the area was crisscrossed by dozer cuts. Strangley enough, the 'trail' in question was not part of the dozing. The actual stream bed of piney creek was heavily dozed and I believe there was some mitigation to correct that. In some places the dozer cut was in circles?!
